Three groups who have stayed at Carlingford Heights, in their own words. They are here unedited apart from one obvious typo, and they say the things we would say about the house ourselves — that the space holds a big group comfortably, that the views are the part people remember, and that the village is a walk away.
We are just back from a fantastic weekend at Carlingford Heights. The house exceeded all expectations and really was everything that we could have hoped for. There were 9 of us in total, 4 couples and my nephew. We all had our own bedrooms and tonnes of lounging space and seating for evening meals and drinks. (If you are a bigger group there was an additional 5 beds spread across the 5 bedrooms). The house is absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be back. It is most suited to a large family getaway as it is peaceful and finished to a really high standard. Special thanks to Catriona for making us so welcome.
Ciara — a family group of nine
The house is amazing — especially the views! We were so lucky with the weather and were able to make the most of the terrace. Plenty of room for the 18 of us plus the option of another double sofa bed. Walking distance into Carlingford. Loved our stay and will definitely book again.

We had a wonderful weekend in Carlingford staying at the Heights. It is beautiful accommodation set in spectacular surroundings. Will be visiting again.

What the reviews have in common
All three come back to the same two things: the room for a group to be together, and the view. That is the whole case for the lodge — six bedrooms, room for twenty, one open-plan living space, and Carlingford Lough in front of it.
If that is what you are looking for, the accommodation page covers the layout, the gallery shows it room by room, and the booking page has the rates and terms. Send us your dates and we will come straight back on whether the house is free.
